Dad and Linda's Trip - Day Six

So on our second day in Fethiye we spent the morning and early part of the afternoon just walking around the town. It is a really nice seaside old city. We enjoyed looking at the ancient rock tombs that date back to the fifth century. In the late part of the afternoon we started our road trip to Izmir. Dad and Linda were quite impressed with the 6 hour bus ride from Fethiye. Not only was the landscape beautiful but they were impressed when the bus steward came around and offered them tea, cookies, coffee, and snacks multiple times throughout the trip. The bus ride also included a movie...but since it was all in Turkish we didn't understand too much of it. We pulled into our somewhat shady hotel in Izmir around 10 pm and enjoyed a good night's rest.
