After arriving back in Istanbul late the night before, our day was full of seeing sites, shopping, and visiting friends. One of the highlights of their trip was getting to have dinner at my friend Asli's house. It was so fun seeing my dad and her dad communicate with each other without using words. Once they realized that they both loved to fish, they were instant friends. I'm so glad that Dad and Linda got to meet one of my best friends here and see a glimpse of my daily life.
First stop was seeing the amazing Aya Sofya (one of my favorite sights in the city)
Then we shopped 'til we dropped in the Grand Bazaar
After the Grand Bazaar we made a stop so that Dad could pick up his beautiful new Turkish carpet.
After a very quick stop at home we took the boat to Asia.
Then we ended our day with a nice dinner with Asli and her family.
